Intuition is a Natural Ability Within Us All

Have you ever thought of someone just before the phone rang, and discovered that very person is the person calling? Or perhaps, you thought of someone, and later heard some news about that person, or something similar? Think it’s just a coincidence? Think again.

The truth is, intuition is available to each and every one of us. It is part of who we are. When we brush things off as coincidences, we basically are telling ourselves we don’t need the guidance our own intuition is offering to us. On the other hand, when we pay attention to such pieces of information, and honor them for what they are, in turn, more information is made available to us. What we pay attention to expands, and that includes intuition and/or psychic ability.

What that doesn’t mean, though, is if you have stronger natural psychic abilities, you can make them go away by not paying attention to them. I have often had others ask me if there is a way to make visions, voices, etc. go away. My answer to that is, no. You can indeed suppress natural clairvoyant, clairaudient, and even slight medium abilities, however, when you do so, the end result is manifestation of physical sickness.

You can, however, ask that the information you receive be only information you can use to benefit another, or ask for, in any other way for it to be more tolerable for you.

You have the gifts you have for a reason. They are part of who you came here to be. Natural abilities do have to be accepted, worked with, and further developed. If you find you have strong natural abilities, there is no doubt whatsoever you are to use them to serve in some way. Although, in the beginning, they may feel like a curse, they are indeed blessings. The more you use them to benefit others, the more you will see them as the blessings they truly are.

There are many different ways you can start work on further developing and learning to use your psychic abilities, but first and foremost, the most important aspect, is working through and releasing any fears you have associated with your gifts. Rest assured if you have these gifts, and you seek guidance for using them in service, enormous protection and help is and will further be available to you.

Meditation brings clarity, and strengthens natural gifts, as well as allows you to receive guidance and information. It is in the still space we enter through meditation where all answers lie. Those who have strong natural abilities also meditate naturally, or are able to go into a meditative state of mind naturally.

Trust that your gifts are tools you brought with you in order to serve, help others grow, and to grow with and within yourself. See it as the great honor that it is. Denying these aspects of yourself is denying who you came here to be.

As the saying goes, What goes in, comes out... I made a decision quite time ago to be very conscious of what I allow into my mind. I began to eliminate sources of negativity throughout my day beginning with how much television I watch. I haven't watched the news in several years, and I am choosy about the type of movies or programs I watch. An Unexpected Message Beth Layne — Sun, 18 Oct 2009 17:32:53 +0000 About a year ago, a client and friend booked me for an evening of readings in her home. She had several friends from work who wanted to have readings. None of them had ever had a reading, and all thought they would feel more comfortable having readings one on one throughout an evening with friends. I arrived for the appointment a little late and a little stressed. I am the mother of three children, two of whom are affected by autism. Sometimes evening appointments can be really challenging to get to, as autistic children like for things to be the same and on the same schedule. I felt blessed that this client was also a close friend who knew my struggles and challenges, and I felt certain had conveyed them. Upon arriving, I said hello to everyone, and of course, apologized for being late, set myself up in the room they wanted me in, and began to meditate to release all the energy that was my own, ground myself, and ask for guidance. I asked, as I always do, to be made a vessel of light and to be given information to help, inspire, and enlighten the people who would be coming in one by one that evening. All ready for the first reading, I walked back down the hall to see who would be going first. As everyone looked up to see me appear in the doorway, a woman stood and said, “I have to go first you guys. We are really going to fight tonight if he has to keep the kids very long for me to do this!” Everyone laughed, and I said, “Well, then, I guess you’ll be going first!” We sat down, got comfortable, and I asked her what type of reading she was hoping for. She told me she was hoping for just an overall type reading, and was also hoping there might be someone who would come through for her during the reading from the other side. She said she would be excited to hear from anyone, as she had many loved ones who had already crossed. With that I began the reading, giving her information about various events and such that I saw in her future, describing people, and answering her questions. We were just about to wrap up, when I felt the shift of energy, and ringing sensation in my ears that signals to me there is someone coming through to communicate. I described for her the two spirits I saw - what they looked like, what their personalities were like, and how they had died, and told her, “The female is saying she is Mom and he is saying he is Dad, but I get the feeling they are not.” I gave her the female’s name, and described a ring the male showed me, to which she informed me, “You have my mother and father in-law.” I gave her the messages they had specifically for her, feeling and seeing the release of her emotion that such communication always brings when information is given that validates beyond a doubt the further existence of loved ones lost. Then, a dog seemed to come out of nowhere, running all around me, stopping for a moment, and then going back from where he came. I described the dog as a retired police dog or a German Sheppard to my client, describing the dog in full detail, and asked her if she knew the dog. She said she didn’t, but she thought her husband had a dog like I was describing as a child. I felt the energy of all who were visiting pulling back, and as they were leaving I heard, “Tell him we love him and we have Buddy!” I told her, “They want your husband to know they love him and that Buddy is with them. Please tell him that.” “I will.” She said. “I don’t know the name of his dog from childhood, but I can’t wait to get home and tell him about this and about Buddy. He doesn’t believe there is anything after death, and he wasn’t very happy about my getting a reading. He says it’s all hogwash!" I hugged her, bid her well, and received the next client. The next day, bright and early, I received a call from the dear lady who had gotten a surprise visit from her in-laws the evening before. She was in tears as she was telling me her husband’s reaction to the message and validation he had received through his mother naming his childhood friend. His life direction had been completely turned around, overnight, by one simple sentence from the other side. The messages that need to come through always do. Baby’s First Doll Beth Layne — Sun, 18 Oct 2009 17:26:53 +0000 As most psychics will tell you about themselves, though I see things clearly for another, where my own life is concerned, I get bits and pieces of the puzzle through dreams, and signs. Although I live by my intuition, and help from the other side, sometimes they have to send me something real before I acknowlege and pay attention where my own life is concerned! At the time, although I often dreamed about a sweet little strawberry blonde haired girl around the age of two, I had only my two boys, and had been told I could not have more children. My boys were a great blessing to me, and I felt satisfied with my little family. I was divorced and engaged to a man, who had no children, though he loved my boys very much, and had been told he could not have children. When we met, I saw the same sweet little strawberry blonde haired 2 year old dancing around his legs and giggling. It distracted me so much, it was hard to pay attention to what he was saying to me! I knew our paths were definitely going to mingle from the first moment, although after finding out he couldn't have children, I wondered how this little girl was coming to us, and what it all meant. My oldest son had begun asking me when he was going to have a baby sister almost on a daily basis after a while, and I kept telling him having a baby sister wasn't possible according to the doctors! He just kept saying, "But you are. I just know." Then, out of the blue, for three mornings in a row, I woke very early and starving! I woke all three times from a dream (or a visit) I was having about a dear friend who had passed a few years before. I found it a little odd, and on that third morning, I thought to myself, "Sheeez, I almost feel pregnant!". Knowing that wasn't possible, I pushed the thought aside, and went about my day. Later that morning, I had to run in a local store to do some quick shopping before time to pick my boys up. I hurriedly pulled in the parking lot focused on getting in and getting out quick. It had been raining all morning, and although clear for the moment, I parked right in front of the store, just in case it poured down again before I got back out! I put the car in park, grabbed the keys and pushed the door open. Just as I started to set down my first foot out of the car door, I noticed a cloth doll, obviously for a baby, I was about to step on! I knelt down and picked it up, thinking how odd it was that it was so dry and clean, when everything was wet from the rain. I looked around, and not seeing a little girl anywhere, dropped it in the passenger's seat and got out. As I turned around and looked ahead to walk in the store, my little strawberry blonde was dancing around the columns and giggling! I forgot about most everything I went in to get, and walked straight to the at home pregnancy test section, thinking I would show myself I wasn't pregnant! I laid my bag next to the doll as I got back in, then went home and put it in the bathroom cabinet, not giving it another thought for the rest of the day and evening, as in my mind, I still thought it wasn't possible. The next morning, I awoke again, very early and starving to death. I went in the bathroom, and took the test. It took no more than 3 seconds to show me the sign for yes! The sweet little strawberry blonde girl is here with me now. She is 3 years old, and the doll that she sent to herself that day has been her favorite since she was a baby! Breaking Through the Skin You’re In Beth Layne — Sun, 18 Oct 2009 17:20:42 +0000 Do you know yourself? Do you know the spirit who lives within you and has chosen this shell, this skin you are in, to house it in this lifetime? Do you know why you have chosen this particular shell? To everything, and I do mean everything, there is a reason. Take the time to get to know the real you. There is an incredible bright spirit that lives within you. That spirit is you. If you don’t already meditate, learn to. Learn to look at your shell from the inside out to understand who you have chosen to be in this life in order to achieve the growth and learning that you have come here to achieve. We, as a whole, look from the outside in. We are programmed that way. The key is in reprogramming yourself to come from inside out. We are programmed to think of ourselves and view ourselves as a product of our “outside” world, or a product of our environment. What goes in from outside, combined with the gifts and tools we brought with us, becomes who we are. If you come, though, from the inside to the outside, you will come to see a beautiful difference. Your outside circumstances such as a neglected childhood, or other traumatic experiences, that you may feel have shaped who you are in a negative sense, become, instead, blessings, as you will start to see the underlying reasons for those situations or circumstances in your life. You have chosen this shell because it fits in with the other tools, gifts, talents, obstacles, situations, and growth you chose to help you with achieving your mission or purpose, but it is truly not who you are. It is only part of the package you chose in order to have the best circumstances for success. If you really want to get the most out of this life, get to know your shell. Really get to know your personality, positive and negative points. Overcome the negative by turning them into positives, and use the gifts, and the tools you’ve brought to make a positive difference in this world. We all can. It is no one’s choice but yours whether the difference you make is positive or negative. Each and every person has brought a unique set of tools to work with. Your gifts or tools, are simply what you’re drawn to, and what things you do best. Other tools are things such as personality traits, life circumstances, special skills, or special areas of interest, and believe it or not, even obstacles. I am not at all saying that everything in life is predestined. I am only saying that certain life situations are part of our greater plan to learn and grow from. What we do with it from there, is up to each one of us as individuals. We have free will to make choices and decisions that, most certainly, can and do, affect the outcome of our lives. Living on the Flip Side Beth Layne — Sun, 18 Oct 2009 17:16:54 +0000 Are you aware that right now, at this moment in time, you are creating your life and all you experience and see around you? Literally what you are thinking and feeling right now, and giving your focus to right now, is planting the seeds of your future for you. Sure, we all know the choices and decisions we make affect the outcome of our lives through the consequences of our actions. What I am talking about, though, is very different than the seriousness of all those choices, decisions, and consequences. I’m not talking about bad karma, good karma, or rewards for your just and proper life. I’m talking about real living. Living from your heart and the core of who you chose to be here, and what you’ve sent along with yourself here to create this life with. Find a way to be grateful for each and every negative experience you have been through in your life. Through those experiences that you planned for yourself, you have grown to where you are. Each and every one of us can look back on every single negative thing we have been through, and find grace in it by acknowledging all we learned from those experiences. Thank our creator for allowing you to learn and grow from those experiences and release the hold they have on you. Say goodbye and be refreshed, no longer allowing them to “be who you are”. You are not your experiences. They were there for growth not to become one with. Do not let others define who you are. Better yet, do not let yourself be defined at all! What do I mean by that? I run across many, many unhappy people who have lived a certain life because it was expected of them. I’ll give you an example. A rare and talented artist, for instance, who didn’t believe in his talent, miserably unhappy and not painting at all, striving in business, and surrounded by negativity crossed my path one day. I am here for rescue, so when someone crosses my path like this, I know I am to pull them out. Through reading him, I discovered his talents lying dormant, and what his fears had created in his life through not living real. I helped him to see why he was given these gifts, helped him gain confidence, and point him in the right direction for living the life that will give him the pleasure that his spirit seeks here. He is now sharing that art with the world, and everything around him, and the support he so desperately has needed is falling in to place. He is now beginning to experience real living. We are given gifts for a reason. That reason is to share, to bring others light, and hope, and to love using the gifts we brought with us to create a better world for ourselves and all those around us. I truly believe, right down to the moment we are born, and how that relates to our talents and gifts, is planned. I truly believe we assist with that planning. Our strengths, talents, and information about what drives us, can all be found in our astrological birth charts. This is yet another benefit of meditation. Connecting with your higher self is essential to really know what purpose your talents and gifts bring. This is invaluable to help yourself through the challenges and blocks that stand in the way of your full potential in this life. I believe also planned, are our weaknesses and what we must overcome for our own unique spiritual growth. Understanding those challenges helps us get through them . Getting through them means we are able to radiate our talents and gifts to help others, and use them for the benefit of all. Most of us know what our gifts are, but may not use them. Many have blocks or fear associated with their gifts, or what I like to call “family programming” to overcome. Some just haven’t yet discovered how to get from point A to point B. Wherever you are on your spiritual path, there is always more to learn on every subject. Granny’s Redbirds Beth Layne — Sun, 18 Oct 2009 16:44:04 +0000 My husband’s grandmother recently died. She lived to be a ripe old age of 86. She was a very spiritual woman. She lived in God’s country in the middle of a valley in Hollytree, Alabama, with beautiful mountains and undeveloped green acres all around her. Every morning, with coffee in hand, she sat out on her screened in porch and watched the birds. Redbirds were her favorite. Even though she was not a young woman, her death was very quick and unexpected. She was a very practical and warm hearted woman that everyone in the valley, as well as her friends and family, loved to visit with just to listen to her wonderful stories. She lived a very simple life, untouched by all the technology of our modern age. She preferred the quiet peace of God, and His beautiful sounds of nature she heard throughout her days, as she walked around caring for her animals, and tending her chores. My husband, even though, I am a practicing psychic medium, and he sees evidence of the afterlife through me daily, was having a very hard time loosing her. He could not bring himself to walk across the path from his mother’s house to his grandmother’s house after her death. It had been several days since her death, when his uncle asked for his help in boarding up the house. He had called over to his mother’s house,where we were staying, asking my husband to meet him across the path he had walked so many times in his life. He was very reluctant to go. I persuaded him to go, telling him I would go with him, and that I was sure if he went, she would send him a sign letting him know that she made it and that she was happy and okay. We walked, once again, the path to Granny’s house. Everything was quiet there, and my husband could not bring himself to go inside. His uncle had not arrived yet, so we stood in the middle of her backyard holding hands in total silence. I thought to myself, “Granny, please show him you are okay. He really needs to know.” Just then, hundreds of paired redbirds swarmed the backyard all at once, landing near our feet, staying only a moment, then all flying away at the same time! Then only seconds later, it happened again. After a third, and final time, they seemed to circle us, and then they were gone. It was the most beautiful sign in all my years of practicing, I had ever seen! Thank you, Granny, for letting him know you are still alive and well on the other side!
