Every Gift is a Blessing
Although, it definitely may not seem so for the young medium, who constantly has ghosts around him, or even for the young clairvoyant, who is constantly seeing negative images, gifts are just that – gifts, and are never, ever a curse.
The law of attraction intensely applies to those who have spiritual gifts of any nature. It is extremely important, that you stay positive, if you want to be able to help others in a positive way. When the metaphysically gifted person becomes negative, all that can be seen or felt is negative.
Staying positive does not mean, however, that you will never see, experience, feel, or otherwise receive negative information, as we are given information in order to help. This is why learning the arts of grounding and detachment are essential to the well being of those who find themselves with gifts seemingly beyond their control. Learning techniques that help one ground themselves and detach themselves from the stream of information they receive is what brings more control.
Fear is the number one negative emotion that must be worked through. Being fearful, brings more to fear, as any other emotion constantly felt brings more of the same. Learning detachment and grounding will help in this area, but most important is to realize there is nothing to fear. The visions and feelings do not belong to you, and the ghosts are not here to frighten you. Compassion is the key.
Breaking Through the Skin You’re In
Do you know yourself? Do you know the spirit who lives within you and has chosen this shell, this skin you are in, to house it in this lifetime? Do you know why you have chosen this particular shell? To everything, and I do mean everything, there is a reason.
Take the time to get to know the real you. There is an incredible bright spirit that lives within you. That spirit is you. If you don’t already meditate, learn to. Learn to look at your shell from the inside out to understand who you have chosen to be in this life in order to achieve the growth and learning that you have come here to achieve.
We, as a whole, look from the outside in. We are programmed that way. The key is in reprogramming yourself to come from inside out. We are programmed to think of ourselves and view ourselves as a product of our “outside” world, or a product of our environment. What goes in from outside, combined with the gifts and tools we brought with us, becomes who we are. If you come, though, from the inside to the outside, you will come to see a beautiful difference. Your outside circumstances such as a neglected childhood, or other traumatic experiences, that you may feel have shaped who you are in a negative sense, become, instead, blessings, as you will start to see the underlying reasons for those situations or circumstances in your life.
You have chosen this shell because it fits in with the other tools, gifts, talents, obstacles, situations, and growth you chose to help you with achieving your mission or purpose, but it is truly not who you are. It is only part of the package you chose in order to have the best circumstances for success.
If you really want to get the most out of this life, get to know your shell. Really get to know your personality, positive and negative points. Overcome the negative by turning them into positives, and use the gifts, and the tools you’ve brought to make a positive difference in this world. We all can. It is no one’s choice but yours whether the difference you make is positive or negative.
Each and every person has brought a unique set of tools to work with. Your gifts or tools, are simply what you’re drawn to, and what things you do best. Other tools are things such as personality traits, life circumstances, special skills, or special areas of interest, and believe it or not, even obstacles.
I am not at all saying that everything in life is predestined. I am only saying that certain life situations are part of our greater plan to learn and grow from. What we do with it from there, is up to each one of us as individuals. We have free will to make choices and decisions that, most certainly, can and do, affect the outcome of our lives.
What Was Meant to Happen Did
Often, we may look back on situations, and find ourselves saying, “If I had just done this, then maybe this would have happened instead.”
While it is important to evaluate our choices and learn and grow from them, it is equally important to move past the choices we have made. The lesson needs to be taken, and the experience needs to be let go. We are here with free will, and to make choices through the manifestation of our thoughts to learn and grow through.
Had we not made the choices we made, what then, would there be to learn and grow through?
Take what you have here and now – the outcome – and grow from here. You can only start with now, as there is no future yet, and the past is gone. Make sure what you are doing right here and now, is creating a better situation for you.
The first place to start is by looking within. What speaks to your soul? Perhaps you love working with wood, and find you create from somewhere deep within you when you are given an opportunity to work with wood. Or maybe you are naturally drawn to children, and find being around them and helping and teaching them gives you a deep satisfaction.
Whatever arena it may be in, find your calling and follow your inner spirit. Learn to harness the power of your thoughts, and how to create your true life. Through living that true life, your life will have enormous power to bless others along your journey, including yourself.
Share Your Feelings While You Can
Never miss an opportunity to tell someone how special they are to you and how they have enhanced your life.
So, often, the grief of losing a loved one can be so overwhelming simply because we did not take the opportunity to tell them how we felt about them. We grieve deeply for that regret, and that fear that our loved one didn’t know just how special they were to us.
Let me assure you. They know. They are still with you and are still very much a part of your life. They love you and they want you to be at peace.
You can still tell them. They can hear you.
It is for our own sakes, that we share our feelings with others while we have the opportunity to do so, as well as for our loved ones.
Let Go of the Past
There is absolutely nothing you can do about decisions and choices you have made in the past. The past is gone. You must let it go. By dwelling on it, one can border insanity.
Living in the past prevents you from building a future for yourself, and ultimately dooms you to repeat the experiences you have labeled as your mistakes over and over. To break the chain, you must realize your mistakes, learn from them, and set them free.
There is growth in every situation, however, if you continue to relive the past over and over, you are robbing yourself of any growth that can and should occur from the choices you have made. Every experience is an opportunity to learn and grow, even those you deem as having been negative experiences or regretful to you in some way.
The choices you have made do not necessarily define who you are or even your character, but outline situations your higher self has chosen for you to learn and grow through.
Know you did the very best you could do in the circumstances you were in. Forgive yourself if you must. Realize what you could have done differently, and move on, releasing yourself of any further obligation to the events you are allowing to hold you hostage!
Turn the negative into a positive by being grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow through your choices and emotions, instead of condemning yourself because you feel the choices you made were mistakes.
To everything there is a reason. Even the past.
Live a Life of Passion
We have all been given gifts and tools to use in this life. There is no one who is without their own set of gifts and tools. We brought our gifts and tools with us in order to create joy and peace within ourselves, and to serve all those around us through the love and passion we create within us. You must know yourself in order to truly live from the heart, and you must use the gifts and tools you have brought with you.
What is it that you have ever done that created a “driving” within you? What have you stayed up late in order to keep enjoying, skipped other things in favor of, or otherwise felt passionate about? What are your strengths? What do you love? What have you always been good at? What gives you peace, and even, where, in your life do you need peace?
These are all questions you need to ask yourself if you are not truly enjoying your life. When we do not use our gifts, we drift farther and farther from any sense of peace within.
If there are negative obstructions in your life keeping you from living your passion, remember, you put those obstructions there. The important thing to ask yourself is why. Fears put us in a pattern of creating obstacles for ourselves in our own lives that prevent us from living our passions. In other words, we do this to ourselves.
Do not let your fears limit your life. Your potential in using your gifts is endless.
Why Do I Smell Grandma Every Night?
Q. My grandma died almost 3 years ago and every night before I fall asleep all I can think of is the smell of her house. It smelled like vanilla, camay soap and perfume. I swear I can almost smell it, it makes me so sad. I can’t stop thinking about that smell. What do you tell people that makes them feel better? My parents divorced and I lived with my dad next door to my grandma so she was like a mother all those years. We were really close. It’s not like some kind of ghost thing, it’s a smell, or the memory of a smell. What’s up with that? I just wondered if other people go through this type of thing. It’s weird.
A. Your grandmother visits you often right before you fall asleep at night. She is tucking you in! She sends the smell to let you know she is there because she knows she is the only person you associate it with! When you smell “her smell” she is visiting you, and just wants you to know she is with you.
What Can I Do to Grow As An Empath?
Q. What, as an empath, can I do to grow?
http://dailyspiritonline.com
A. Lovely question. Thank you so much for asking. Your question has sparked a future post for another blog as well.
I’m taking your question to mean, what can you personally do to grow as an empath, but have given some general information as well. God Bless.
For all who are empathic, growing as an empath requires a great deal of inward time. You must get comfortable with the constant flow of feelings, learn to detach from them, and have a great way to cope with the constant flow of emotions that continually run through your spirit.
Being an empath, is a beautiful gift. Those who have it are to use it in service of others. Empathic abilities are always a part of a total package of multiple gifts.
Often being an empath is coupled with writing talents, musical talents, or art talents, and coupled with life themes such as Rescue, Humanitarian, Experience, as well as other types that are in service to others. Empaths always have other creative talents in addition to usually more than one metaphysical gift. Their creative talents are a natural way to cope with their constant emotional states.
Empaths, such as yourself, who are here with great writing talents, are here to teach, guide, bring together, and help raise the vibration levels. You have the ability to reach a mass audience.
Those, who are spiritual, usually find their calling within the specturm of light work, teaching and guiding through their creative talents, and other gifts.
Not only do empaths constantly “feel” others and their emotions, they also have the ability to project (and this is often unrealized, even if they do realize they are “feeling” others).
It is important to surround yourself with positive vibrations and support, and always be conscious of your own vibration levels. Negative environments can feel like mortal chaos to empaths, and can throw us completely out of balance if we let them, as well as others around us. Try to avoid them.
Positive thoughts, positive environments, daily meditation, and a creative outlet, as well as asking for help from God, your guides and your angels, will all help you grow as an empath.
We have been given the ability to feel others’ emotions in order to understand, grow, and help others grow.
