Past Lives in Psychic Readings

I always find it fascinating when I receive information about someone’s past lives through reading for them. Most often, in readings where past life information comes through it is because we are tracing an obstacle or because the person is at a point in life where things are not making sense at all.

Other instances have involved current relationships that are carried over from another place and time. I will begin to see people within events in a totally different place and time along with the knowing these are the same people. Our relationships are how we learn and grow here. We actually continue to work on many of those relationships and growth through many lifetimes, and even from many different perspectives. I will often be shown relationships of the past that are affecting relationships here and now.

Not to be confused with karmic relationships, many past life connections, and now connections simply show you are connected to a soul family. Soul families often incarnate together in different roles throughout many lifetimes. Soul family members do not necessarily have to be actual family members but may also be extended members, or even someone met early on in life that is always a part of your life.

For whatever the reason, when past lives show up while I am reading for someone, there is always healing and understanding that takes place. I am very interested in past life connections and the roles they play in our present lives. I plan to do much more research from many different perspectives including my own gifts and the validation that is often found through my own research. Although I am a natural psychic medium, I am also very research oriented as well as a deep thinker. Very often the answers I get lead me to more questions for my guides as well as more seeking of validation.

In my earlier days of doing psychic readings for others, I once had a couple who came to me to have separate readings back to back. They were divorced but classified their relationship as close friends. They had been married and divorced several times, but knew they made better friends. Neither seemed to be able to move on without the other, yet they knew they shouldn’t be together.

I saw a past life connection through both of them that explained so many different things about both of their lives as well as their connection to each other, and why it was so hard letting each other go this time around. It seems they were in a relationship before that did not work out well, and unfortunately afterward, feelings were felt too late, as after having gone home, she died in a fire. Thus in this lifetime, this man was almost obsessed with fire from a very early age. He was a fireman, and had gone through tons of training, and won all kinds of awards. He also met his wife very young, and always had an overwhelming need to keep his wife close to him and protected, so much so that he smothered her beyond belief! There were also many other things from her perspective that traced back to that previous relationship and its sudden ending, as well as recurring dreams of their past time together they both asked about relating to other events during that time.

Both later had a past life regression session through a hypnotherapist (their own idea and choosing) and in their own voices validated a lot of what I saw and received when reading for the two of them separately. They were also able to validate their previous existence. The end result was they were able to heal those past life memories that were still holding them up in their current lives.

When spirit works with the messenger, the information that is most needed, in the ways it is best understood by those who need to understand it, is what prevails no matter what that information actually is. As a messenger, I can definitely say, I do not always understand the message, but the people the messages are intended for do. For instance, I didn’t know why I saw this man surrounded by fire, but I did. I also felt his soul urgency toward fire and saving people from fire. What was strange was, if I analyzed who he was astrologically speaking, and life path speaking, that didn’t really match. Then as I passed that information, and he began to ask other questions, I began to see the connections from past to now.

In all instances where I have received information in relation to past lives, the relevance has been both fascinating as well as healing for the person who feels stuck or blocked. The end result is after releasing the past, they are able to become unblocked and finally begin carrying on with life here and now. I am not a hypnotherapist, though I have goals to become one. I am also not a psychologist, however, I do know many who gratefully assist in past life cell memories and further healing.

Remembering Past Lives Through Dreams

The dream world is a world I have always found fascinating, as dreams can tell us so much. There are many different types of dreams, and many different reasons for them. As a natural psychic medium, I often have very vivid dreams as well as visits during my dream time from those who are on the other side. I do also have normal dreams caused from my subconscious, as well as precognitive dreams, and dreams that remember the past, or show me the past.

Very often, I have had clients who come to me for interpretation of a dream, especially recurring ones. It is actually amazing how many people remember aspects of their past lives through dreams. What is also fascinating, is how often they start to have the recurring past lives dreams just as they have met someone or as someone has become a part of their lives here and now that is somehow connected to that past time.

Whereas dreams of the subconscious mind involve mostly symbolism, and situations that are not in line with real world concepts, dreams having to do with past lives are very real, and can usually be attributed to a certain era of time. What is also different about recurring dreams of past lives, is that the person having the dream sees it through their own eyes, and becomes aware at some point in the dreaming process that those eyes are different than the eyes they have here and now! For instance, Sally has dark hair, and is tall. She is continually having dreams in which she is seeing through the eyes of a short blonde in the civil war era. She feels strongly she is this person. There are also others in her dream that “feel” like others from her life now.

Mediumship dreams are different in that, although the medium may see things through another’s eyes, so to speak, and may “feel” like they are the person they are seeing through, these dream experiences are more common for a medium, and usually show an event, whereas past life dreams seem to come at different points and times in life, and may not show anything significant other than the knowing of being someone else.

Often past life dreams show more and more as time passes, and as the current life relationship that has brought them grows. Although, it is important to note, past life dreams do not always coincide with the entrance of others connected in that time period. They may also coincide with life situations that parallel.

Students and Teachers

Everyone we meet has something to teach us, and thus we are all constant students and teachers growing in our experiences called life. I am eternally grateful for all those who have been my teachers as well as those who have been my students.

I have made so many connections locally, and worldwide because of the beauty of living in the technology age we are currently in. I find it very exciting to have both learned from and taught others I would not otherwise have met without our current technology and ability to speak with someone for little to no cost across the world, making so many connections easily accessible to each other to work together in many different ways and to assist each other in many different ways. I am also grateful for living in this era where it is so easy to connect, being that many of my teachers and students I have met through the venues of technology who have become real life associates, clients, and friends.

It became also easy to access various forms of support and quickly find that no matter what you were seeking to learn more about, or find support with, or even just find others who were currently in the same types of situations that you found yourself in, you were able to. More and more, over the years, we have relied more on connecting with others who may in earlier days, been inaccessible to us.

Although I lived once without internet, it is still hard now to imagine life without it, or without the knowing it is there to come back to. It is really now fairly easily accessible from almost anywhere with all the different gadgets and forms of technology these days. So yes, for these, reasons, I am grateful for living in the age of technology we are currently living in. Without it, my life would have certainly been much different.

I believe we are drawn to others who can help us along our paths at different points and times in our lives. I believe many of those people are soul connections. I see more and more people who are soul connected these days through reading for others who are literally on opposite sides of the world from each other. I have even met soul connections in my own life through technology who were in another part of the world. I find that both fascinating, and affirming in that soul connections are meant to happen at certain points and times for whatever their purpose of learning and growth is together, because without the current state of technology the connection would not have been possible.

When the student is ready the teacher will appear. I think that quote is mostly attributed to Buddha. I find that to be so true. When I have needed to learn, someone has appeared to teach me. I also feel others have been led to me at times when I could teach them, and help them grow.

I am sure many paranormal researchers and investigators may even say that many connections in this life may not have been made from even those who have been trapped here as ghosts without the current technology of this age.

I love this time of connecting with others during the beauty of this age. I am grateful for the many connections and partnerships I have made as a result of the technology available to us. I am grateful for both my teachers and my students, no matter how we have connected in life.

Family Spirits in Photographs

This is a picture of my daughter at her cousin’s birthday party that I took. I felt the fleeting energy of a spirit and saw it show up on the screen as I felt it. It all happened so quickly, and as my focus was completely somewhere else, I literally caught no information psychically at the time, except of course, I knew it was a spirit visiting from the other side. Because she was sitting beside her cousin, and their grandfather has passed, I had my suspicions which were later confirmed in a dream a few nights later in which he stood before me laughing, saying, “Did you get the picture?” I woke from the dream, laughed myself, and went back to sleep.

At the time the picture was taken, I snapped several in a row immediately following this one, and this was the only one in which the orb appeared. Also because of the light coming in, we all looked for anything that could have caused it to try and debunk it, even though we all knew there was no debunking it!

This is a photo of my sons, my stepdaughter and her brother that I also took. We had all been feeling the presence of my sons’ and stepdaughter’s father all evening, so when this small orb showed up in this picture next to them, I knew who it was, as did my stepdaughter’s mother, as we knew he was there with us.

Very often our family members visiting from the other side show up in our photos, especially in times of celebration. I have often seen, especially if a parent is on the other side, orbs show up in a perfectly vacant spot in which they would have been standing in wedding photos if they were living and had been in attendance. They still like to show up for family photos on special occasions.

Although they are often around during times of celebration, don’t be surprised if you see orbs in simple photos at home of the children or grandchildren playing. They will also often show up in those photos, as they are visiting and interacting with the children. Don’t be surprised either, if the child or young children seem to be interacting with someone in the photos! Younger children have not yet been deprogrammed and are often much more aware of their presence that the adults in the environment. (unless of course the adults are empaths or mediums!)

Have you noticed your family members from the other side showing up as orbs in your photos? It is just another way they let us know they are still with us, still supporting us, and especially still celebrating with us!

Can I Make it Come Back?

Q. Hello Beth,

I had an awakening, a glimpse, from quitting drinking. I was really open and I could see
angels, past life as well as see into the future. mostly though, I had many spirits in the
process of dying or ones who had died who would contact me to give messages to
the living. I had no control over any of it. They would stay with me and attach themselves
to me. I found this extremely frightening. Especially those who were either murderers or those who had been murdered. I felt the ones who had been killed wanted me to see how they were murdered so I could help them be found. This was going on all the time. Not only was I stressed out all the time with this gift, I was having trouble being present in my life.

A friend told me to ask this gift to be taken, and in my desperation, I asked it to go. To my
shock and grief, the window closed. No longer was I able to see into the ether, not even to
see angels any longer. What I really wanted was help with this gift, to be able to shut it off
and on at will. Will I ever get this gift back? Later, I realized I took this person’s advice to get approval from her. I didn’t realize what it would cost.

You can cause it to come back in the same way you caused it to go. You asked for it to be taken away, and it was. If you ask for it back, and start to pay attention you will see it begin to come back.


As it is coming back, guide it by asking for specific types of information, for example positive information that is able to offer healing or enlightenment in some way. Giving feelings of gratitude for the information you are shown will give more of the same types of situations/information.


Although we can guide the gift of mediumship somewhat, and much more simply than it may seem when the constant flow of information is keeping you stressed, this gift also sometimes begins by guiding you, meaning those who know you can help them are attracted to you.


There are ways you can lessen the impact of receiving the messages on yourself. I’d love to work with you in helping you to bring your gifts back. They are actually not gone, but just subdued.

Just Dreams or More?

Q.  Hello Beth.I have a question about dreams, I’m not sure if this is your area of speciality or not, but perhaps you can answer it either way. I’m 26 years old male, and I live in a country where generally ghosts, seeing in future etc are seen as pure superstition, so I’m pretty sure I’m not influenced by having people around me who would talk of these.

So.. I have seen for about 8-10 years dreams occasionally where I see different sorts of events, some are normal every day things, some are a lot more important.

Thing is, some of these come true. They may be boring little things, like seeing a dream where I meet some random person and know what he/she is going to say or do.

Some are bigger things where something important is going to happen, and I know in advance how it’s going to go.

I don’t know if it’s related to this, but sometimes I also get a strange feeling that something big is going to happen, or know that someone’s about to come visit me etc.

Sometimes I also get a bad feeling about certain houses, I lived for years in an apartment where strange things happened, and I wasn’t the only one who noticed it.

From the moment I moved in, I hated that place and I knew something isn’t right there. I don’t know if it’s related, but I also got mentally ill during those years…Is this “normal” or do I have some sort of weak “gift” in such things?

 

A.    Hello! Thank you so much for your question!


You are having what is known as precognitive dreams. Precognition is associated with natural clairvoyance (clear seeing), however, being claircognizant (clear knowing)  is an ability of its own. You are experiencing both gifts in their natural states.


You are also empathic. That is where the “feeling” about certain houses comes in. You can feel the energy that is still trapped there. Empaths literally absorb emotion or energy. That includes the emotional energy of even those who are no longer living but may still exist here in ghost form. Being in a haunted location can be challenging for an empath, and can (but certainly not always) have an impact on mental health. If you are feeling negative energy constantly, and do not understand that it is not your own, it can certainly make you feel like you are mentally ill, whether you actually are or not!


I don’t think your “gift” is weak. On the contrary, you have three strong natural gifts.

Was He Trying To Communicate With Me?

So today I walked downstairs and I was looking at something in my house that has been in my house ever since I was younger and I remembered that it was given to us by an old neighbor but today was the only day I thought about him. I disregarded it because I didnt think it meant anything until I went by the computer and saw a letter about Frank that my brother wrote going into college printed out on my desk. Does this mean he’s trying to communicate with me? Would he hear me if I prayed to him?



A. Yes. He was trying to let you know he was around and visiting you. He is not stuck here in ghost form. He was visiting from the other side. But yes, you can speak to him, and he can hear you. You don’t need to necessarily pray. Just speak to him aloud, as if he were still alive. Spirits visiting from the other side will use whatever means they can to let us know they are around. Those are usually fairly simple things that immediately make us think of them, such as you are describing.

Psychic Abilities or Insanity? How Do I Make it Stop?

I know I have psychic abilities. I have preminatory dreams. When Im falling asleep I see faces, and I will hear voices. I also have had voices warn me about certain things. But sometimes they are mean. I heard a woman call my name when I was 10 yrs old and it scared me and it and it went away. I have seen a dark shadow run across my room. I have seen spiders run across the floor. I just wish it would stop. The voices started getting stronger so I went to the dr. The only reason why I went is because the voices wont shut up. and they are becoming aggressive. I need someone to help me. I KNOW this is a spiritual issuse.

A.  Thank you for your question, Audrey!

First of all, let me start by saying that those of us who have strong natural psychic abilities have them for a reason. It isn’t a matter of making it stop. It is a matter of having better control of it, and learning how to use them instead of those abilities making you feel cursed!

You are describing natural clairvoyant, clairaudient, and mediumship abilities. For the natural psychic, fear breeds negativity and therefore, breeds receiving more of the negative through dreams, visions, etc.(clairvoyance)  It isn’t going to stop, but you can learn better control, and you can certainly ask to receive more positive information, or to receive information in a way that you feel better able to cope with. 

Those you are hearing (clairaudience) are ghosts. (mediumship) They are attracted to you because they know you can see, and hear them.  They get “louder” or what may seem more aggressive when we are not listening sometimes. You can actually tell them to go away, that you aren’t ready to talk, etc. I know that seems simple, but it’s true.

Ghosts may often appear in a form many describe as shadow people to natural mediums who are fearful of seeing. I have worked with natural mediums a lot in helping them better understand this gift which, before being developed, seemed to haunt them.

The spiders are something else entirely but are still coming from your abilities.

The first step is in releasing the fear. You are surrounded by help from the other side. The first step, really, is in learning to trust. It is also extremely important that you learn to ground and protect yourself.

How Can I Tell if Any Are Still With Me?

A. Thank you so much for your question Beverly!

Spirits visiting from the other side will use whatever they can to try to make their presence known to loved ones that will actually make their loved ones realize who they are. They may use animals, such as birds, especially if the person was known to enjoy certain types of birds or animals while they were still living. They may also use coins with certain year dates, smells you would automatically associate with the person (such as a favorite perfume or favorite flower while they were living, or even a dish they were known to often cook that would automatically bring the person to your mind)

Depending on your level of natural gifts (we all have natural gifts to some degree), you may even, all of the sudden, hear specific songs in your mind, or phrases associated with the person, that you would not normally think of associated with the specific person during their life here. They may also show up in photographs as orbs, especially during celebration times with their loved ones.

The most common way they will visit is through dreams. Our brains are more in a relaxed state when we are sleeping, allowing them to better communicate. When visiting through dreams, when you wake, you will feel as if they were really here with you, maybe even still “feeling” their presence, or still smelling their scent, etc. That is because they were actually visiting you!

Unless you are a medium, you would not necessarily see them. Even if you are a medium, you may not necessarily see them with your eyes, but may suddenly see them in your mind’s eye. Some mediums see spirits just as they see living people, however, many see them only in the mind’s eye, especially if the medium’s gifts are in raw form and undeveloped.

Spirit Orb?

Q. My friend’s daughter was killed a week ago in a car accident. The older sister delivered their first grandchild on the day of the younger sister’s funeral (Mon). The parents are holding their new born grandson in the first photo taken Mon afternoon, the second photo is later that evening and of the brother holding the new baby (same room, same day, same camera) – what is in the chair in the second photo? ~ Kathy

 

A. You have indeed caught the younger sister’s spirit visiting. That is what is in the other chair! The same spirit is also standing beside the first couple in the first picture. There is a small orb present in the first photo that appears near the female’s leg.
