There are so many beautiful signs of spirit visits from the other side throughout our days. All we have to do is pay attention to notice how often they are around us.
Our loved ones on the other side are constantly trying to let us know they are around us and are still a part of our lives, just in a different way. They are still just as involved in our lives as they were when they were living, and they want us to know they are around.
There are many common signs our loved ones in spirit will use to let us know they are okay. They often use signs that are easiest for them energetically. They will also try to use things that make you think of them automatically because of their significance to your memory of them.
Often, when I am doing spirit medium readings for others, their loved ones will mention the signs they have been using, or mention them for future reference to show a future sign of their presence.
Signs of Spirit Visits – Vivid Dreams
Have you ever woke up from a dream about a loved one in spirit that felt so real that you felt like your loved one was there with you and was still there with you as you were waking up? What a beautiful feeling, right?
This is the most vivid and very common way your loved ones on the other side will try to reach you. While in the sleep state, your mind is in the most natural state of being able to receive them, and they most definitely will take advantage of it!
The more you have worked through your grief, the easier it is for them to come to you in your dreams. Grief is a form of fear, and fear is a blocker.
I will often have people say they are surprised they have not yet dreamed of a loved one after their passing, and they are still so full of grief. Once that starts to subside, that’s when you will find them visiting in dreams.
These are beautiful signs of spirit visits that have you wanting to stay in the dream state as long as possible to spend more time with them!
Signs of Spirit Visits – Pennies
Spirits on the other side will often drop pennies in our paths to let us know they are around. Pennies will be found in odd places where you know you have not had any coins around, or have dropped any in that location.
Pennies, in particular, or coins made with mostly copper are easier for them to manipulate. They will leave them like a trail of breadcrumbs and will become amusing, where all you find them after a while.
I had a client who collected them for quite some time after her husband passed, and put them in a jar, and eventually she cashed them all in. She looked at it as his way of helping her from the other side!
Though we may sometimes wish they left twenty-dollar bills, the dropping of pennies is always one of the most welcome signs of spirit visits!
Signs of Spirit Visits – Birds
Birds coming unusually close to us, or demanding our attention in some way, is one of the most common sights of spirit visits. They may play around us, swoop down near us, or, at times, literally land in front of us and make eye contact.
There are a variety of ways they manipulate birds to get our attention. The most common birds they use are cardinals, hummingbirds, and blue jays; however, it can be any kind of bird they use.
If your loved one had a favorite bird, then it will definitely be the kind they loved they use to get your attention. For instance, my husband’s grandmother loved red birds, and she often uses those to let us know she is around.
I had a student once who used to watch blackbirds with her husband, and every single time we would get on a call, blackbirds would show up in both my environment and hers. They would often get comical with their loud noises until we acknowledged his presence.
Another common one, though not a bird, is butterflies. They will often show up flitting and flying all around, both alone and in groups in all types of varieties and colors.
Signs of Spirit Visits – Music
I cannot even begin to tell you how often music is used by our loved ones to let us know they are around us. I often have spirits show up when doing spirit medium readings, humming and even singing specific tunes to identify themselves to my client, as well as just playing music in my head that was special to them in life.
I am a music lover, so maybe that is why I experience signs of spirit visits through music so often. I find it very entertaining, and it is a wonderful way they identify themselves quickly.
You may hear songs playing in your head out of the blue, songs coming on the ty, or radio just as you turn it on, or even randomly coming from someone else’s car as you are going down the road!
Yet another way is if they played a certain musical instrument, you may hear someone playing that particular instrument out of nowhere.
They love using music to validate their presence!
Signs of Spirit Visits – Smells
Using certain smells is another way our loved ones quickly identify themselves from the other side. Examples of this would be smelling your grandfather’s favorite pipe tobacco when no one is around, or your mother’s favorite perfume.
Of the signs of spirit visits, a very common one for someone who liked to cook is to have us all of a sudden smelling one of their signature dishes being cooked, like your grandmother’s special pecan crumb apple pie, or your Aunt Lily’s family famous casserole!
