Letting go of a situation that is toxic is one of the hardest things to do. For one with an obsessive personality, it can feel like a never ending battle, with no resolution in sight. What is needed is for the negative feeling to end. The emotion associated with the toxic situation is what holds one trapped.
Emotion is created within us, not outside of us. Our emotion is directly tied to our thoughts and our perceptions of people, things, or situations, right? While this is indeed true, there is a much bigger picture. Primarily, emotion and our emotional reactions are directly tied to our thoughts and perceptions about ourselves, not things, situations or others.
If you find you are in a toxic situation you can’t seem to let go of, then go inside yourself and dig deep. There is a major lesson there for you. The healing has to take place within to gain the power to break the cycle of self abuse. Cycles will repeat themselves over and over until the lesson is learned.
Although you may find the Universe plucks you out of situations from time to time, and you may feel saved by the grace of God, you will call the same type situation back to yourself through your vibrational energy over and over until you break the cycle by healing within, thereby changing your perception.
Those who find they can be obsessive about negative emotional situations, are ultimately seeking to feel better – to change the negative feeling back into a positive feeling. Because of this, they may find themselves whirling through the cycles of feel good then feel bad. These situations are truly just going round and round in circles, and there will never be resolution from within these circles. The only resolution resides in healing within and breaking the cycle entirely.
