Connections Between Souls
There are times in every life, whether one is empathically gifted or not, where the sparks of soul connections are felt. While everything is certainly not predestined to every degree, there are some connections we are meant to make in life, and those connections will be made no matter which crossroads or path those persons meant to meet might choose to take.
We can all think of a time when we met someone and had an instant feeling of already knowing them, or a deep feeling of connection to the person that was not immediately understood. When these sparks are felt, on some level it is just “known” to both parties, your paths are meant to cross.
Soul connections can, of course, be of either gender. The common factor lies in the unconscious knowing you have agreed to help each other grow in some way through your connection in life here and now, thus you will encounter many soul connections throughout your life.
Very often, soul connections have helped each other grow in previous lifetimes, and for that reason, there may be karma between them yet to be resolved. In these cases, the “pull” that is felt toward one another may definitely be stronger than other soul connections encountered through life. There may also be a noted amount of synchronicities that take place around the time of or after the time of meeting. These are the soul connections that tend to end up in deeper involvement and/or romantic relationships.
I often hear those hurting over the break up of a romantic relationship say things such as, “When I met him, I just knew we were meant to be together.”, or “I felt like I had known her all my life!” or even statements like, “There was an instant attraction that we both felt!” In these instances, what has happened is the soul connection they felt for each other brought a romantic relationship. It does not actually mean you were each other’s one and only true soul mate, as so many people throughout their lives search for. We will often continue working on relationships through multiple lifetimes, learning and growing through our relationships in each incarnation together.
Do We Have Soul Mates?
This perhaps is the most age old question. Is there that one true love out there for each of us we are completely and totally compatible with and we are meant to spend our lives entirely with? It is a sort of a two fold question, with a two fold answer.
Those we have incarnated with before and have been romantic partners with in those incarnations, we will often cross paths with again in this incarnation. We continue to work on our relationships and grow through that work together, most often, through more than one lifetime.
We may also have formed karmic ties in previous lifetimes. In this sense, and the sense of those we have formed agreements with that may be separate from even those, we have “soul mates.” If it was not just a karmic tie that brought you back together, and if you get it right this time, you may be lifetime partners here and now.
Though I really hate to disappoint in any way, and I know this may be disappointing to some, there is not a perfect match created for each of us at the time of our birth. Your other half is not out there somewhere waiting for you to find him or her.
You, do, in fact, have a spiritual “mate” or “other half”, however, you do not incarnate together, but at different intervals. That, of course, is a whole different topic for a whole different blog post!
Relationships, no matter of which type they are, are not exactly meant to always be easy street, but are our way of learning and growing here. The people who we are in relationships with are our teachers, and we are theirs. Mostly what we teach each other is actually about ourselves.
In a lot of cases, those relationships we have thought were our worst, actually brought us the most growth. Rather than being resentful for the pain they brought to your life, be grateful for the growth they brought.
