What Are Twin Flames?

The term twin flames is used to describe a very special soul connection between two souls that is unlike any other soul connection. The connection carries over from lifetime to lifetime once they cross paths in any specific lifetime.
It is a very unique connection that allows immense spiritual growth which is achieved both individually as well as together within any relationship that is formed between the two.
The twin flame relationship is a very challenging one, but also a special one as it brings more growth to both than any other relationships they have.
Twin flames must meet a certain level of spiritual growth in order to cross paths. From there it may sometimes take many lifetimes of continuing to work together on many different levels before they are actually able to achieve a lasting relationship.
Are Twin Flames Destined to Be Together?
Once twin flames meet there are several stages of the relationship they must grow through before they can have a blissful relationship. In the beginning, it may seem far from any wonderful connection.
The first stage, known as the ego phase. is the hardest phase to get through. This phase will test everything within reach of the twins in order to rid each other of ego.
This phase of the twin flame relationship may actually take years or even many lifetimes to get through. It will cause the pair to either get stronger together spiritually or tear each other completely apart emotionally.
It is often said the two mirrors each other during this phase and may see each other as exact opposites One is known as a runner. The other of course is known as a chaser.
The truth of the matter is they actually mirror the depths of ego within each other and bring it to the surface to be resolved. Once they get through the ego phase, the other phases are a piece of cake!
The end result after much inner work through sometimes many lifetimes is indeed, finally, a blissful and harmonious spiritual union. They are, in the end, destined to be together, however, the road is long to getting there!
Twin flames, while getting through all the phases may literally hate each other, and think the other is the devil incarnate! They will pull away from each other and spend a great deal of time apart, but not be able to get over each other.
Twin Flames Work On Their Personal Spiritual Development While Apart
During their times apart they will both work hard on their own spiritual development, and while doing so, will eventually work their ways back to each other find they have both grown tremendously during the separation time.
They may actually go through this process many times, and even often swap roles between each other, whereas the runner then becomes the chaser. They may flip-flop these roles over and over while growing through the phases.
The short answer to whether or not twin flames are destined to be together is yes. However, it may take many lifetimes until they finally do completely come together, and stay together.
Most think the relationship is a blissful romantic one, however, what one may think of in the beginning stages is very clouded by ego, and perceptions associated with ego.
The spiritual point where twin flames finally come together has zero egos, and the union is then one that serves humanity through light work of the highest form as a unit.
Ultimately the pair comes together to form a spiritual team more so than the classic thoughts of a blissful romantic partnership. The team once fully united has overcome all attachments that may have held them back from the work they are meant to do together.
